Runs

A run is one grow, followed from the jar of grain to the last flush off the block.

Stage by stage dates

Log grain spawn, colonization, substrate mixing, block or bag fill, and the day you introduce fruiting conditions. Each stage keeps its own date, so days-to-colonize and days-to-pin are calculated rather than remembered.

Contamination tracking

Mark a run or an individual jar as contaminated, record what it looked like and at which stage it turned. Those records feed the contamination rate report, broken down by line, recipe and stage.

Multiple flushes

Blocks rarely give you one harvest. Record each flush separately with its own date and weight, so you can see where the yield curve falls off and decide when to compost.

Harvest weights and yield

Weights roll up per flush, per run and per genetic line. Combined with substrate weight this gives you real biological efficiency instead of a rough impression.

Notes that stay attached

Observations live on the run, not in a notebook on the shelf. Six weeks later the note about the slow patch on one side of the bag is still there.

Genetics

Genetic lines sit at the top, cultures sit underneath, and every transfer keeps its parent.

Lines and cultures

A line is the strain or isolate you work with. Cultures are the physical plates, slants and syringes you hold of that line. Both are tracked, and a culture always knows which line it belongs to.

Full lineage

Every culture records the parent it came from, so you can walk the chain back from the plate in your hand to the original spore print or supplier culture.

Generation numbers

Generations increment automatically on transfer. When a line starts to slow down or fruit unevenly you can see how many transfers deep it is, and whether the fast ones were all early generations.

Culture backups

Track slants and syringes as backups of a line, including where they are stored and when they were made. If a working plate contaminates, you know exactly which backup to pull.

Agar work

Log agar transfers, wedge selections and clean-ups against the culture they came from, so isolation work is a record rather than a memory.

Recipes

Substrate and grain recipes written down once, then reused and compared.

Ingredients and quantities

Build a recipe from ingredients with quantities, so a five-block batch and a twenty-block batch come from the same base numbers.

Hydration percentage

Record target hydration as a percentage. Most substrate problems are water problems, and the number is the only way to tell a good batch from a lucky one.

Sterilization time and pressure

Each recipe carries its sterilization or pasteurization time and pressure. When contamination climbs, you can check whether the process actually changed.

Version history

Recipes change. Past versions are kept, so a run made three months ago still points at the recipe as it was written then, not as it reads today.

Labels and scanning

A QR label turns any jar, bag or plate into something you can look up in two seconds.

Thermal label printing

Print to a Supvan T50 label printer over Bluetooth straight from the Android app. Labels come out sized for jar lids and bag tops.

Any browser printer

No thermal printer needed to start. Print sheets of labels from any browser on a normal printer.

Custom label templates

Choose what goes on the label: run code, line name, generation, recipe, dates. Paid plans can save their own templates.

Scan to jump

Scanning a label with your phone opens that exact run, culture or line. No searching, no typing codes.

Bulk-scan mode

Walk a shelf, scan every bag in turn, then advance the whole set to the next stage in one action. Turns a fifteen minute data entry job into a two minute pass.

Works offline

The Android app keeps working in a basement or a walk-in with no signal and syncs when it has a connection again.

Built for a folding table at a farmers market, not a checkout lane.

Product catalog

Set up what you sell with prices and units: fresh by the pound or half pound, dried, grain spawn, culture syringes, whatever is on the table.

Cart and tender

Tap items into a cart and take cash or card. Cash tender shows change due, so you are not doing arithmetic while three people wait.

Stripe and PayPal checkout

Real card payments through Stripe and PayPal, connected to your own accounts. Money goes to you directly.

Sales history

Every sale is kept with its line items and date, so market day totals and best sellers are a report rather than a shoebox of receipts.

Worker and cashier roles

On the Farm plan, give a market helper a cashier login that can ring up sales without seeing the rest of your records.

The point of the record keeping. Numbers you can act on next batch.

Yield per run

Total and per-flush weights per run, comparable across recipes and lines. Find out whether the new supplement actually paid for itself.

Contamination rates

Contamination as a percentage, sliced by genetic line, recipe and stage. This is where you find the real problem: grain, not substrate, or one tired culture.

Harvest history

Harvests over time, so you can see production trends and plan what to promise a chef or a market for a given week.

Spreadsheet export

Export to Excel when you want to pivot it yourself, hand it to an accountant, or keep your own copy.

Environment monitoring
